Trust in God

Trust

Trust

For I know the one in whom I trust, and I am sure that he is able to safely guard all that I have given him until the day of his return. 2 Tim 1:12b The only condition is that I fully believe the Truth, standing in it steadfast and firm, strong in the Lord, convinced of the Good News that Jesus died for me, and never shifting from trusting him to save me. Col 1:23a

Putting Our Trust In God

When we put our complete trust in God, we can rest assured that he has our best interest at heart.  He is always the same, He never changes.  “Trusting God is simply believing that He love you, He’s good, He has the power to help you, He wants to help you, and He will help you.”1  Too many times we try every avenue available to solve a situation before going to God and trusting in Him.  As believers, though, we need to learn to go to God first.  He has all the answers.  He will not fail.

He Wants To Be First

John 15:5 (TLB) “Yes, I am the Vine; you are the branches. Whoever lives in me and I in him shall produce a large crop of fruit. For apart from me you can’t do a thing.”  Jesus says that apart from Him we can do nothing.  He wants us to go to Him for help with everything, not just when all else fails or we have no other resources.  What would happen if we went to Him first?  I wonder how our lives would change?  God says He wants to be first in our lives.  That means everything, large or small.

Listening To God’s Voice

God wants us to ask Him for help then Actively Listen to His voice.  Active Listening isn’t just hearing the words that are being said, but understanding what He is saying to us then taking action. Doing what He tells us to do.
