Praise The Lord

I Will Praise The Lord

I will praise the Lord no matter what happens. I will constantly speak of his glories and grace. I will boast of all his kindness to me. Let all who are discouraged take heart. Let us praise the Lord together and exalt his name. For I cried to him and he answered me! He freed me from all my fears. Others too were radiant at what he did for them. Theirs was no downcast look of rejection! This poor man cried to the Lord—and the Lord heard him and saved him out of his troubles. For the Angel of the Lord guards and rescues all who reverence him. Oh, put God to the test and see how kind he is! See for yourself the way his mercies shower down on all who trust in him. Psalm 34:1-8 TLB

God’s Blessings Are As The Rising Sun

God’s blessings are as predictable as the rising sun each morning. There may be clouds that hide the sun, but we know the sun is behind the clouds.  We know at some point we will see the sun.  In Oregon, along the coast, you may not see the sun for thirty days or more, but you know it’s there.

God Wants Our Praise and Worship

The same is true of God’s blessings.  When we have accepted Jesus as our savior, when we are a child of God, we know his blessings are as predictable as the sun.  Circumstances may appear like the clouds hiding his blessings, but they are still there. When we give praise and thanksgiving to God it clears the clouds away.  God wants us to worship Him in spirit and in truth.  He wants us to offer up praise and worship in everything we do.  When we do the clouds part so we can see the Son, so we can see how very blessed we are.

“I will rejoice and be glad in Your steadfast love Because You have seen my affliction; You have taken note of my life’s distresses, And You have not given me into the hand of the enemy; You have set my feet in a broad place.” Ps 31:7-8.
