Communicate with God

Communication With God

We’ve been talking about communication with other people. Let’s look at communication with God.

If you think communication with other people is difficult, have you tried communicating with God? Some may say it’s impossible. Is it?

I and many others have discovered that it is possible. When we accept Jesus as our personal savior God’s spirit becomes resident in our spirit. We have a direct connection to God, who is a spirit.

Have you ever prayed for something specific, then when you are quiet, a thought, an idea, an image, an almost whisper goes through your mind? That is God’s voice.

Relationship with God

First, you do have to have that relationship with God. Have you accepted Jesus? Do you believe that He is the Son of God, died on the cross for our sins, and rose from the dead and is sitting at the right hand of the Father? Do you believe that He did this for you?

Okay then. Read on. Otherwise, take care of this first!!!

Very often we’re too busy to hear God’s voice. We say a quick prayer then we’re off on our day. Take the time to sit quietly and listen. Write. Like you would take notes for any other important meeting.

Communicate With God

Start a journal where you write down your prayer then write what you hear. You do have to be quiet and listen.

The answers you receive may surprise you.

I started this a couple of years ago. I needed some answers. I was very ill and needed some answers from God: why haven’t you healed me, what do I do now, do I go to the doctors and let them do what they think is best when you are my healer?

I began to get my eyes off my circumstances. I began to hear God’s voice. I could feel his presence all around me. It was such an awesome experience.

No, He didn’t instantly heal me. It has been a progressive healing that is still going on today. Every day I get better. I have learned that Jesus completed my healing 2000 years ago on the cross. I have to reach out and take it.

That’s a foreign concept to most of us. I’ve discovered that as I’m in the Word, and I memorize, I quote, and I pray the Word back to God, my doubt that I am healed begins to dissipate. As the doubt disappears, I notice more and more of the physical symptoms also disappear.

Prov 4:20-22 “I will listen closely to Your words, Father. I will not let them out of my sight – I will keep them within my heart; for they are life to me and health to my whole body.” (personalized to pray back to my Father)
